Can a stationary bike help with running?

I have 2 months to get ready for tennis season this year and we run a lot. Last year when we ran I was behind in the group and lost my breath very easily to the point that I was kind of "weezing", and gasping for air.
I want to be able to run for a longer period of time and to increase my stamina and endurance. I also want to get into shape. Can I do this by using a stationary bike?
When we run its usually to help get ready for districts, we usually run around campus or on the football field.
I dont really mean drills (ex:suicides)
