chargeing me me for selling drugs? my son had my cell phone and he got arrested on sept 12 2011 and the police officer went thur my phone I feel that they valate my privacy

Violate*. If they have a reasonable cause to do a search, they can search whatever needs to be searched. In this case, your phone could have contained evidence so they had to search it.
They would have only gone through call logs and messages.
Any other information probably wasn't searched.
