Can and How do you record sky on the Samsung DVD-SR15OM recorder?

I want to record a programme of off sky tonight on my Samung DVD-SR15oM recorder. I have it all set up but when i turn my tv to sky and press record it just records a blank screen. Is it possible to record sky? If it it, help! I have no idea how to do it! Thank you
 
make sure your scart is in socket 2 of your dvd recorder and also in the output socket of your sky box. then on the samsung remote click the analog channel button and press program down from ch1 and you will have the channels for the scart sockets (av1/av2) and dv channel for recording from dv cams etc. your sky box should be on av1 or av2.
