can anyone seriously argue Dirk N. is a great NBA player?

You cant compare dirk to barkley, he playered and hundreds of playoff games and took jordan to seven games. No way Dirk can say that losing to 7th and 8th seed teams in the first round since he won the MVP. No way can you make that arguement in my eyes.
also im not saying Dirk isnt a Allstar or Hall of famer but is he a great player like a top 100 player i say not, i think jason kidd has had a better career than him (Sorry but J kidd has gone deep in the playoffs several times)
Well, excuse me for criticizing a "white player". Maybe if you criticize him he might get better. If it is good enough for jordan (who was criticize for not making his teammates better) it is more than good enough for Dirk.
stats make you an allstar not a great player, ask paul pierce, chris webber, chris bosh, dwight howard, and etc... All of them have similar stats but are not all time greats.
 
Yes. He has put up great numbers for a decade or so. The Mavs were garbage for years until he, along with Nash and Finley turned them into a consistent winner.

He hasn't won a championship, but neither did Malone or Barkely. Give credit where its due, his numbers speak for themselves.
 
His a great player, but not a great teammate. He's stepping up for himself but he doesn't trust what his team can do.
