Can anyone tell me about this 4-days a week school thing?

I heard there were plans to cut off friday or monday from the school schedual, and add an extra hour or so to our day?
Anyone know about it? Is it active in Georgia or Michigan? If not, when will it be?

I have no idea of when and where it is/going to be implemented
But what I find interesting is that it's one hour less to study for the next day.
Sucks if you have extra curricular activities outside of school, like sports or music
