Can Christians give me a good reason to keep believing in God?

I've been Catholic/Christian for several years. Despite all the bull S*** this so called God let happen to me. I kept faith, went to church every Sunday, prayed for strength, and I'm just fed up. I'm 23 and I have wasted so many years of my life on this false god who doesn't care about his people when they are suffering. So, what say you, Christians, what makes you keep saying god is so wonderful? Agnostics and Atheists, I actually want your side as to why you deny/debate god.
 
You could try learning about the faith you claim you believed in. Maybe pay extra close attention to the fact that Jesus was persecuted and crucified on a cross. And that he promised redemption to those who endure to the end. Jesus pretty much promised that his followers are going to have a rough time.

The idea that God would protect you from suffering and give you worldly blessings if you do x,y,z (go to church, pray, etc) is a pagan and Jewish idea connected with the "nation deity"-concept, which brings famines when angry and plentiful yielding crops when pleased.
Christianity is a bit deeper of a religion. A bit more existentialist, and philosophical. It's not the superstitious nation-diety religion which you seem to think it is.
