...13 days ago, and get a discount? I bought a blue ray samsung DVD player 13 days before black Friday for 188 bucks, and the price is now 148 bucks. I was wondering if I could bring my receipt in and get a refund on the difference? I think I have atleast 2 weeks before I can't return the player so it seems logical to me that they should refund me the difference. Otherewise could I take it back, and buy it again for the cheaper price?

It was a gift from somebody who works there, so it was purchased with a 10% discount, does this make a difference?

Many stores will give you the difference if you bought the item just before it went on sale. Usually up to a week is no problem but 13 days may be pushing it a bit. However, since everybody knows that big sales start the day after Thanksgiving they may not cooperate. They could ask you why you just didn't wait the few days for a widely known sale. You could ask and see. They shouldn't yell at you.
