Can I browse the Web with Wifi on my BlackBerry Bold 9700?

I have AT&T and because my bold gets wifi I know there is wifi calling. Because the data plans on AT&T are limited, I like to save whenever possible. When I'm connected to a WiFi network, can I browse the web and not eat at my already limited data? Does the Wifi feature also work for other things besides WiFi calling?
