Can i charge a 9.6v battery with an 8.4v charger?

I just bought a 9.6v 1400mAh battery for my CYMA cm.028 airsoft gun online. I have a 8.4v 250mAh trickle charger, will i be able to charge my new battery to full capacity? I also bought the large to small connector just in case that matters. The battery is NiMH.
 
no it will only charge it to around 8.4 volts (maybe a little higher), but this is usually not enough to do anything with the battery
