I am looking for something for the winter, and while looking at a subaru, an audi tt caught my eye. rumor has it audi is expensive and tedious to maintain.......

yes, as I worked for an audi dealership for two years. Audi's have two things going against them. One. they're german, and although german cars are known to be very reliable their reliability has been falling short in the last few years. Two. parts and maintenance are extremely expensive compared to a mazda or a subaru. I'll get you an example. A customer came in with his s4 to get the clutch replaced. It cost 900 dollars to determine that the clutch needed to be replaced and an additional 6,000 dollars to have it replaced. If you have to money or you have a really good job, then go for it. good luck!!
