Can i fix my mother board if i hear 1 long beep then 1 short beep?

Hi my pc boots up but the monitor doesnt turn on and stays on standby. i also hear 1 long beep then 1 short one. i know its a problem with the motherboard but is it a major problem or can it be fixed. i would really appreciate your replies thanks kerry x

Reseat your video card.
Make sure the video cable is connected.
Replace your video card.

The computer is fine. The video card is broke.

You most likely need to change your motherboard. It is definitely not something you will fix by yourself. Take it to the guarantee office or wherever they fix your computers and tell them you have a motherboard issue. They will either replace the motherboard or if it is fixable (doubtful) fix it.

That's an internal graphics fail. You might have to buy a new board.
