Can I get a 2000 Mercedes Benz s430 at an dealer's auction?

I have about 7000 cash. I have a family member who is dealer licensed and has access to the auctions. Just wanted to know if anybody has been to the auction and seen what they are going for..thanks!
 
No, you can't buy a car from an auction without a license (wholesale vehicle license).
 
Probably not. They are not that cheap at auction

Auction results for week ending Sept 5
2000 MBZ S430 - 51 total sold

Above average - 72K miles - $10,498
Average - 133K miles - $7750
Below Average - 192K miles - $5002

Unless you want something with a ton of miles, $7k isnt going to work. Dont forget that this is just the sales price. The auction tacks on buyer fees on top of this. Plus, when your family member sells you the car, he will have to charge sales tax.

Better look at a different car.
