I have been in two wrecks (approx 5 years and 10 years ago) and they were my fault. I was following too closely and rear ended someone. Drugs and alcohol were not involved. I know that most trucking jobs require a clean driving record. Will the accidents be a factor? Do the accidents go off my record in a certain amount of time or will they always be there?

I am really interested in trying truck driving as a career but i do'nt want to go to driving school if i can't get a job due to my accidents.

it should not be a problem since they where not caused by DWI, but do not expect top pay with your record, consider one of the larger companies like schnider national to get started, then you can go to the more specialized ones with better pay, the best pay is to be found with companies that haul perishable or hazardous cargo.
