I got a new sub for my home theater and now have an old unpowered (passive) sub lying around. I was wondering if i could put this one in my car. I really don't care that much, so i was planning on just unplugging the wires that go to my rear speakers in my car and plugging it into the sub. I know that is far from the right way to do it, but i dont want to go out and buy a new car stereo to be able to do it correctly. I was just wondering if this would work (would i get at least some sound out of the Sub even if its not pure bass)? Also are car speaker wires and home theater wires the same (as in positive negative copper wires)?
