I just tried to install the itunes 8.1updated version, but when I opened the program, my music library was gone! I tried dragging my library to itunes and it didn't work. The I tried dragging the entire itunes folder, but that took too long. I was afraid that the library file was edited (does anyone know?)

I uninstalled itunes and want to use Tune Tools to copy my ipod files, but I'm afraid that if I hook up my ipod to the computer without itunes installed, something bad will happen to my 8237 songs. Will my files get deleted? Has anyone done this before?

Yes! The program not installed on your computer will recognize that the iPod is plugged in. It will erase every song on your iPod and give it a unique virus which will steal your internets remotely!

Lol, nothing's gonna happen, why would it? Unless there's something we're not hearing about, there should be nothing to take the files off of your iPod. Now, if you installed iTunes and made it synchronize with the iPod, that's probably a while new story.

See, this is why I pretty much hate Apple products. (Well, one reason anyway.)
