Can I keep drinking while I start a workout routine?

I've always been real skinny, like I'm now 6'1" and right around 140lbs. So it's time to start working out again, see if I can add a bit of muscle mass, my calorie intake is through the roof im guessing, judging my the large amounts of foods I eat, a lot fatty, and quite a bit of beer and whiskey throughout the week. So my question is can I start doing some intense workouts, not really cardio just muslce workouts and keep my unhealthy drinking habits?

I'm not going to stop drinking, becaude well I don't want to, and yes, it is just about every night. But thats not what this is about, I just wanna know if besides the dehydration factor theres negative effects from working out then having some drinks afterwards that night.
