Hi, i am very keen on learning Wushu. I love this sport but i dont have any single institutute here in bangalore who can teach me this. I cannot afford to go out of bangalore to learn it. There are hardly any kungfu coaching classes. However i could figure out only one master who currently coaches me, and i am the only student of his. But i am more interested learning Wushu than other skills in kungfu and my master says he will teach me wushu in the later stage. But if not my kungfu master no body else can train me in kungfu or wushu.
Can you please tell me if i have to push him forward to make me learn Wushu first and then the other arts?
I am currently learning the snake fist but i always dream about Wushu.
Also can any body suggest me how much time i would be taking to learn good skill of Wushu from now (i spend 5-6 hrs per week learning it from master while other days i practise on my own)?
How long will it take for me to reach any excellence in the below mentioned video. Please advice.

Hi Thanks for the comments but no one mentioned me how long it might take me to learn if i go at the above mentioned pace. Please help

Wushu and Kung Fu are both VERY generalized terms that can refer to any of the Chinese martial arts. (In some circles Wushu are the Taoist martial arts and Kung Fu are the Buddhist martial arts.)

If you are sincere about your martial art, it will take the rest of your life and you will still not master it.

BTW: Many would KILL for a situation like yours...
1 on 1 with a teacher!

He is your teacher -- so let him teach!

You must give up your delusion that you know more about how to get from hither to yon than he does!

No. Once you learn Kungfu it is very difficult to learn any other arts. You will get confused and start tripping over your own feet when you cant remember your moves. It is a good way to get yourself hurt real bad.

Listen to ur master and finish ur training. Learn everything he has to teach. He will most likely teach u everything he knows since ur his only student. Dont F it up being a dumbass crying about wanting to learn Wushu. He already told u he will teach it to u only later. Just have patience. Itll be worth it. He will find it very disrespectful if u mention wanting to learn Wushu from anyone else. David N is right about how lucky u are to train 1 on 1 with ur master. Have patience and good luck
