Can I literally put money inside a psp?

So I've been thinking, when I open up my PSP, and lift the screen upwards, I see a space where I can possibly stash money in. So I ask, Is it safe? Will it interfere with anything if I put money there? Looking back at this, It sounds like a idiotic question, but just to be safe. LOL
My dad sometimes steals my money So I want a really good place to hide it, I thought at the time the space would be a good idea. I now think, No, not at all. Thanks for the answers.

If you are talking about UMD space, maybe but
if you are talking about unscrewing the psp and put in internally... i say its a bad idea.
