Can I pick up an item shipped via UPS on a saturday if it doesn't actually

deliver until Monday? I purchased a bunch of items to be delivered to my house instead of work (dumb move, i know). The tracking # says they're in my city, but the delivery date isn't until Monday. Can I go down to the UPS location and pick it up myself or do I have to wait? thanks.
 
You have to wait. When a package arrives in your city, it is sent to a hub location. After that, it is sent to a package center where it is loaded onto the appropriate truck. Just because it is in your city doesn't mean it is at a point in the processing where it can be accessed or handed over to you.
 
Depends on what step they are in loading it to be delivered, it may be possible if packaged and ready to ship, but if it is already loaded with stuff you will have to wait. Anyway unless you REALLY need it just wait.
