Can I play baseball following testicular torsion surgery? PLEASE HELP!!!?

I had testicular torsion surgery around October into November. My twisted testicle was fine and I still have both of them. I feel no pain anymore and when I run or sprint, I feel no pain. I want to play baseball in the spring-summer but my parents are worried that I will re-injure my testicles while playing baseball. They say the ball will hit me or an infielder will accidentally hit me while trying to tag me out. I tell them that I'll wear a cup and I'll be fine. So my question is: Do you think I should be able to play baseball while wearing a hard plastic cup following testicular torsion surgery? Please keep in mind that my groin doesn't hurt anymore while/after excercising and it has been several months since the surgery. Please answer quickly because the baseball registration deadline is coming up. Thanks in advance!
