can i take off the emblems on my car or are they bolted down?

this might seem like a dumb question, but the emblems on my mazda3 are painted black by the previous owner, and i wanted to purchase new chrome finished ones to replace them..would it be possible to remove the current black emblems and replace them or are they bolted down?
and by emblems, i mean the mazda symbol, the written out mazda and the 3.

They are most likely glued on. If they are bolted on it makes the job even easier, you take a wrench and remove them.
