can i update my blackberry 8520 to os 6 on tmobile?

does blackberry desktop software need internet to update my phone or does it have the update in it because i download it a month ago
 
Blackberry Curve 8520 doesn't support OS6. Blackberry confirmed it on their website. But yes if you want to update your software then you have to do it via the internet as BB website has all the new updates on there.
If you want a Curve and OS6, I recommend the Blackberry Curve 9300 (3G) as they have OS6 on them already.
