Can I use a DVD+R to make a bootable ISO disc?

I'm trying to make a boot-able ISO disc using directions off of Youtube.com but they're using DVD-R and my computer can't read them. All I have is CD-R, DVD+R and DVD+RW that my computer reads. Can any of those disc's be used? Also I'm using Img-burn as my burner software.

I don't think the disc matters, it's all data disk, just pc with different reader and writer.

Yes. Make sure that your software supports making a bootable disc (i.e Roxio, Nero, etc)

the disk shouldnt make a difference as long as your cd-rom can read that type of disk
