i have gsxr600 and i haven't use my bike for some time, during that time the chain has gotten a lil or should i say mostly rusted on the outer part of the chain, can i use wd 40 to remove the rust or it will damage my chain even more?.. also whats the best way to fix it i don't have enough money to buy a chain and sprocket to exchange it

Chain lube. WD40 is great after you apply chain lube or wax and wipe off the excess.

WD40- is too "thin" to stand up to the high friction that the chain and sprockets are subject too and will "burn off" from the heat.

If you have an X or O ring chain, just use some lube to keep the O or X ring from drying out. the lube for the chain is actually held behind the Ring.

As for removing rust with WD40, I've never seen it do that. You can try, you won't hurt your chain.

yes you can use it but oil would be better why dont you go to your local garage and ask them for the best kind of oil, i use wd40 on every thing ie doors, pushchair wheels, sons brakes etc

It really isnt the best thing to use on ur chain. the best thing to use is chain and cable lube.
