Can my girlfriend use her account for T-Mobile to unlock a phone for me?

Hi, Im thinking of buying a phone for T-Mobile for use on ATT, but the only problem is that i need it unlocked. My girlfriend has a T-Mobile account in good standing, and I was wondering if she could call T-Mobile and get the unlock code for me.
The phone im buying is off of craigslist

It's simple to Unlock the mobile from network lock..You can ask the unlock code from Network provider ,they ask to wait for some days.So you can need immediately unlocked it means you can get the unlock code from online sites and unlock it...
