have a 1987 924s porsche. it has about 150 horse power stock but it has a k&n intake but no filter from k&n it still has they normal filter but the intake is a k&n.... im not sure if that raises the horses on it or not and its an automatic..... what are the risk of doing it and how likely is it to mess the car up?

I must preface my answer by asking that should you do this, you do it in a safe, controlled environment.
Sure. just stand on the gas from a dead stop. you will likely get a chirp out of the tires at minimum.
Not enough? stand on the brakes a little, then floor the gas, and moderate the brake enough to keep you still. NO MORE THAN IS NECESSARY TO KEEP YOU STILL!!!!!! if you want to make those big, long black marks you see around, let up on the brake a little, and let the car be pushed forward.
The risks to the car are fairly minimal. your rear brakes will have slightly less life than normal if you do it a lot, and your tires will be gone months earlier if you make a habit of it. but once in a while... no big deal.

Not enough torque to do that.The K&N inlet isn't doing much, if anything, for you. Trying to do a "burn out" is quite likely to mess the car up, in lots of ways.
What you can do is practice, on a track or private parking lot (get permission) doing fast starts. The point is to NOT spin your tires. Every time you spin, you lose time on the take off; the point is to get as close to spinning the tires as possible without actually doing so. Losers spin, winners get right to that point, but don't.

it didnt add much, but you should still be able to do it. just hold the break with the car in drive and stomp on the gas. It will still spin because the front breaks hold the car more effectivly. The only thing you will hurt is you will put wear on your tires. If you make a bleach puddle, it will spin better and make more smoke too.

best way:
pull the 2 brake likes out of the master cylinder and put crews to block the hole,
make sure its the rear breaks ur cutting out
once thats done, put the brake to the floor and stand on it
hehe
