Can people tell if you have been researching them on the internet?

Whenever I meet someone, I usually like to get the scoop on who they are and what they have done in the past. I do a lot of research on various people finders and google. Is there any way the people I research can tell that I am looking them up on the internet? (I'm afraid I'll be labeled as a stalker or something)
Do you really think it's creepy? I guess it's just a really bad habit. Maybe I should try to stop.

Only on some reunion sites, it depends on what you're looking it, if they get 1000s of views on a counter, a msg, or even a log.

By the way what you do is kinda freaky.

Even though I find what you are doing kind of creepy....

No there is no way of finding that out. It is an anonymous search on the world wide web.

Just don't make any bulletin board postings with your personal info and you will be fine.
