I think if he trains with a good camp like if he trains with American Top Team or with Greg Jackson or goes to Brazil and trains with Minotauro Nogueria and really dedicate his grappling he could beat some of the C D level fighters. Marcus Davis is a ex-boxer and has a winning record in MMA because he has established a good submission games he has dangerous chokes and leg locks as well as a good boxing ability. Boxers that go in MMA have to learn submissions to be successful in the sport. Just relyling on takedown defense and boxing isnt enough they are fighters that can pull guard and fighters that can cripple a fighter with a few leg kicks. Boxers would get chopped down by leg kicks if they just straight up box, a kick boxer or a muay-thai specialist. No boxer can be successful as a boxer in MMA. Boxers have to become a MMA fighter to become successful in MMA.

About Chuck Liddell. I dont know why people say Chuck Liddell used to be a boxer he is not a boxer. Chucks striking style is Hawiaan Kempo not boxing. Boxing and Hawiaan Kempo are different styles of fighting. Chuck Liddell is great at Kempo not boxing.
For people who dont know Mayorga signed a MMA deal for a small MMA organization.

He couldn't even become a well rounded boxer in a sport where you have two hands and only 5 punches how is he going to become well rounded in MMA when they have thousands of moves and different Martial Arts.
