Can somebody give me some titles of good young adult books? Or good authors

of young adult books? Please don't write obvious young adult books like, "Twilight", "Gossip Girl", etc . . . .

I like virtually all books but Historical ones are a personal favourite. I don't really care if the lead character is male, female, gay, straight, white, or black, as long as the story is good.
 
Splendor falls, the vampire academy, all the sarah dessen books . That all I have right now . Oh i and the hungry killer I think its called.
