Can someone explain to me how pokemon trading works on a nintendo DSI?

Before i buy one, is it true that if you have wifi you can trade/battle with people around the country who arent necessarily sitting in the room next to you? or at least can someone specify how trading and battling works? thanks

Yes! That's exactly how it works :-) If you have internet you can hook your DS, DSi, 3DS, ect- Up to your internet. It's very easy, all you do is enter your Internet IP (Usually It's on the Internet Modem) and a security password. Then you can hook up with people from all around the world.
