I've just begin a workout routine (mainly just push-ups, sit-ups, leg lifts and some cardio) and was wondering about some questions.
I'm a male, about 5'10" and 145 lbs currently, and looking to get lean, at least burn off alot of fat and replace it with muscle. Not really concerned with getting bulky.
But i'm mostly just trying to get lean with my upper body(hips/abs/chests/arms), basically from the waist up, my lower body is fine.
I'm looking to start some lifting soon (I do have a bench, weights and barbells) and don't have much money for the gym, and have also heard that machines aren't as good as the bench. Is this good?
And if so what should my balance and workout routine be between resting and exercise. (i.e: cardio, weight lifting and other exercises[if you can recommend any other]
And I'm not really on a huge budget right now, if you can help on some inexpensive but healthy foods.
Sorry for the story, and thanks for the help =D
