can spitting blood up be a result of screaming to hard?

My brother has been spitting up alittle blood since last night and we all wanna know what can cause it .

Well, he could have seriously damaged his vocal chords. But I doubt that is the reason for spittig blood. He should see a doctor, because he may need medical assistance.
