can the new motorola il be transferred to work on metro pcs?

theres a new android phone for boost mobile, and i want it, but i have metro pcs. I heard that you can transfer phones to metro and they will work, if i buy the motorola il and take it to metro, will they activate it to work? will i be able to use it? i really want that phone and i dont wana buy it and have it not work.
