Can you connect wireless to another persons internet with xbl?

i have a wii and i can easily connect to my neighbor's wireless internet and i was wondering if it was possible to connect to it and use it for xbl and what would i need to connect to it wirelessly with my xbox360. Also i was wondering if connecting wirelessly would be a good idea or if i would lag all the time.
 
A wireless connection does run slightly slower than a cabled connection due to my experience, and depending on the proximity of your neighbours router you may suffer lag. However as long as your neighbours wireles network is unsecured you should be able to connect it wirelessly to your 360. However it is advisable to obtain your own wireless connection, for superior gameplay.
