im trying to put a program onto a dvd for my friend to install on his computer since he dont have the internet and i was wondering if i finalized the disk is it able to be erased afterwards?
ok next question then... do i have to finalize the disk? i was told +rw's dont have to be finalized to play.... well to make things a little easier its windows im burning for my friend since his computer is jacked up.... i know i shouldnt be saying this online but i just want to know so im not wasting a dvd+rw since they are all too cheap
john thats what i thought i just wasnt 100% on that thank you... but it will still boot up when i restart his computer right?
and i meant to say arent all too cheap... 2nd paragraph
i know what the "rw" stood for i was just told by a couple people +RW wasnt able to be finalized and then other said it was able to be finalized... but the question was if finalized was it able to be erased... but since that was answered i was just wondering if it will still boot up without being finalized...?

Yes, you can erase, format and rewrite on a CD-RW. The "RW" stands for re-writable. In laments terms you can write and erase it many times. Most "RW" Disks have a limited amount of use before the material that is used to make them "Re-Writable" doesn't really last for thousands of times. You will begin to have problems writing or formatting the disk, then its time to through it out and put it on another disk

you also need a good data burning program like nero or power iso to create a bootable cd or dvd. the cheap freeware cd burning programs dont seem to be able to make a bootable iso file.
