Can you escape from the chair on the Black Ops Demo on the Xbox Live Marketplace?

I know that you can on the actual game, was wondering if you can on the Demo as well... :/. It gives you the option to move your arms but I dont know if it will let you escape.
 
Just try it. Pull the left and right triggers in quick succession.
