i am looking for a divx codec which allows avi media files to be able to be played in Windows media.

Can you find it for me?

i have used in the past a codec pack called k-lite mega codec pack which enables your computer to play most video files. it also comes with its own basic player, media player classic for playing video files. it is available to download from the link below.

or, you can use the following program, quick media converter to convert the video files to other file types.

Audio Visual Interleave (.avi)
Versions of Windows Media Player that support this file type:

* Windows Media Player 7
* Windows Media Player for Windows XP
* Windows Media Player 9 Series
* Windows Media Player 10
* Windows Media Player 11

Which player and what operating system do you require the codec for?
