Can you guys think of some interesting topics for an argument paper?

Hi. I want some controversial topics that both sides can stand somewhat equal chance on an argument, I will have to take one side and back it up with evidence. I thought about something like the existence of god, but I can't prove he doesn't exist. It can't be something that is one-sided like everyone should exercise because likely no one will disagree on that. So, just give me some inspiration on the topics. And thank you very much.

You could always let the idea and motivation come to you. Make an account on a politicaly oriented forum and then make a topic. Rant about your general beliefs and wait for someone to respond. You can then use his response as a basis for your own counter argument on paper.

You should be careful about writing about somthing controversial, you are taking an unnecessary chance. Your teacher might have strong feelings about somthing and find him/herself less motivated in helping you and if the teacher is not as professional as may be expected it might even adversely affect your grades.
