Can you personally 'choose' to believe that certain people are incapable...

...of believing your deity is plausible? If you aren't capable of believing this possibility -why aren't you if beliefs CAN be chosen?

If you CAN believe it, you must realize that atheists cannot force themselves to believe something which they feel is implausible -even if that thing is a reality.Any belief MUST seem plausible if it is to be entertained -regardless of whether it OUGHT to be accepted as 'fact' or not.

One more question: Can a sane person simply 'choose' to believe that three invisible aliens are living inside their liver? If not, how can an atheist 'choose' to believe that God, Jesus & the Holy Ghost can reside in their heart if they simply find this idea equally implausible (rightly OR wrongly)?

Q1 - Yes I can believe that some people do not believe in a, or my, "deity". We are born with free choice and grow in spirit and soul to find that choice.

Personally my choice led me to believe in God. One of kindness, giving, caring, helping, loving, etc., and I'd rather spend a lifetime living on this path then a lifetime believing there is no glue that holds us all together....only to die and run into St. Peter at the pearly gates and say "ooops, I didn't know" to him or "sorry, you didn't prove yourself to me" - some call it blind faith. I have lost nothing spending a lifetime believing (and to be clear, I DO believe) vs finding out later I was wrong. :) BTW, St. Peter, pearly gates - just an example of a "deity" belief.

Q2 - I totally realize atheists have made a choice and give them credit for even looking far enough to at least make a valid choice...others don't and worse, they ACT as if they do.

Q3 - You obviously do not understand the concept of the Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I will explain how I feel - I being a Roman Catholic.

All is one within our souls and all is one with God - we come from the all and everything. We are one with the Father, or as some say I AM, the Son is one with the Father and our Spirit is one with the Father. So there are not three different individuals, they are blessed pieces of the big picture - all one together, but with distinct parts to make the whole.

Now in the New Age way of looking at this all the Universe is one - and one is the blessed piece. Everything works together interwoven even the tiniest particle - people, plants, animals, souls, spirits, Pluto, time, space, and reality, everything working as one....everything is a blessed piece of one another.

To me the Trinity is just some of the Blessed pieces to my Christian vision and are all one.

Hope that helps.
