Can you recommend an internet capable handheld device fulfilling these criteria?

I want something lightweight, not too expensive to run- my income is not great so don't want a pricey minimum contract. Also my sight is not very good, so it must be able to display text in a reasonable size font. Simplicity of use and reliability also count

at the moment you can get a 24 month contract phone from orange, with their "dolphin" plan you usually get unlimited texts and internet access. most of the phones on offer are "smartphones" which have large screens so the fonts are decent sizes. try their website.. if this doesn't appeal their will be some other websites you could try that allow you to compare mobile phone deals.

I have a samsung galaxy s, they are so much better than an iphone and run android!!!

u can go for nokia a3. This supports 3g and its browser is also very good. This phone has also support for flash.so no need for plugin.
