A farmer is trying to cross a river on a raft. He is taking with him a rabbit, carrots and a fox. He can only bring 1 item a time across the river because his raft can only fit either the rabbit, the carrots or the fox. While the fox and the rabbit won't run away, the fox will eat the rabbit if left unattended and the rabbit will eat the carrots if left unattended. How does he cross the river?
I'm stumped!! At first I thought if the farmer brought the rabbit first, the carrots and fox would be fine together. But then if the farmer brings over the other two items it would clash!! Can you solve it? 10 points
