Can you trade pokemon on a gameboy advanced to a ds?

I just bought a ds lite, and I just figured out I can't use my original games (yellow/blue/red as well as gold/silver/crystal)... Is it possible to put my emerald game in my ds and trade with a cord pokemon from lets say my blue in my SP?

(ds with emerald-----trade with cord------SP with blue)
 
Okay so you have a DS Lite which has a GBA slot. If you have Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSilver you can put your Pokemon Emerald in that GBA slot and use the transfer system to transfer all your Pokemon from your Emerald to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSilver
 
No. You can only trade between the same generations. The original games you listed are GBC games, and are untradeable with GBA games.
