can you use an 18.5v adapter for a 15v stereo or will it blow up?

I'm not sure if it can be used but still i want to try but I'm afraid it may blow up....can anybody help?

you will burn out the resistor in the jack or the capacitor for the power supply or the tranformer for the power supply or knock out the fuse in the house or the breakers take the s tereo to the walmart and buy the adapter it should be 9.99 for an adapter the most i.ve seen is twenty dollars for a universal one
