Can you use bottom paint for a whole boat hull?

I have a Hobie 16, I can get bottom paint for free so i was wondering if i can paint the hulls with all bottom paint and primer.

What do you call bottom paint? Anti-foul is for preventing weed and barnacle growth - it is good at that but it is not pretty, sort of like thick blackboard paint in various colours.

You could , but if it is an ablative type, it would probably get all over you and your friends. That type is made to come off a little at a time as it prevents marine growth. I would suggest giving it to me and go get the right stuff. Hurry though , I am hauling my boat this weekend. Your Hobie is probably on a trailer all the time, correct? You really don't need bottom paint for that application
