I have 4 fish and 2 of them eat ALOT more then the others, 3 of them are about an inch, one is about a foot long, but the foot long one takes only a little bit of food and leaves the rest for the others.

of course they could fish eat whenever food is there. they can go on eating for hour's so be careful but i think your fish's are all big so they need alot of food you should ask a veterinarian a animal's Doc

No, a fish will only eat until its hunger is satisfied. HOWEVER, if you overfeed your fish, the uneaten food will eventually start to pollute the water, and THAT can cause the fish to die. Fish prefer frequent, small meals, but you can easily get away with feeding them once or twice a day. Just make sure you don't give them any more food than can be consumed in 5 minutes. Also, the larger fish probably has a slower metabolism, so it may not require as much food as the smaller fish.

as long as u urself are not putting in to much food then it should be ok but really i can't answer u without knowing what ur fish are for instance i have swordtails and mollies and the mollies will eat first and the swordtails pick up the scraps usually but no they will usually only eat what they can and then give up on eating if ur afraid of over feeding feed them less food but know that ur more timid fish might not get any food then
