Recently Windows XP Serv Pack 3 was installed and now I can't access Internet Explorer from the desktop. I d/click and it creates a shortcut icon instead. So I have to go in the long way from Start. Once in, I cant access any bookmarks - the screen goes completely blank and I can't get back. I have to keep shutting down. What could be the problem and how can i fix it? I had my own license (minus CD) of XP Serv Pack 2 when I bought the laptop - then when a friend of a friend tried to fix my audio driver, he had to install his CD but it was Serv Pack 3. Now all my IE is screwed up. What can I do? I don't want to ask this person as he gave me more problems than when I started
