Can't connect to internet after deleting and quarantining virus?

Okay, I was on Vuze (Azureus)™ and was downloading complete discographys of artists, anyways I went to download Linkin Park: Live From Soho (Itunes Exclusive) EP, but when I started to download the file I checked the contents and noticed some suspicious files, They read 'If you can read this you need to upgrade to Bit_com_84.dat' there was about 6 copies of these files, so I deleted the download and emptied the recycle bin, however the damage was done, if when I was on the internet I clicked a link, then instead of going to the specified page it woulg go to either "Match-me.com" or "XXfindmyhomeXX.com" not a particularily deadly virus, but annoying none the less, although I could defeat the 'virus' by simply clicking copy shortcut on the right-click menu and pasting it into the address bar it was still a hassle, so I used the free PrevX Csi to scan my computer and it found 4 infected files: ld02.exe, dll32.dll (Both were under the window's folder in Local Disk (C:)), under the Local Machine of the registry: Software> Microsoft> Windows> Current Version> Run> rundll32.exe and finally one also in the registry under Users: Software> Microsoft> Windows> Current Version> Run> rundll32.exe and ld02.exe
I deleted the files and used Super System Helper™, a useful program to block the two processes ld02.exe and dll32.exe/rundll32.exe (it alternated between the two) So all seemed fine, and dandy, ran a few more scans and I was clean. Simple enough and only took a short hour; however, I opened the internet and got no connection, I checked the Task Manager to check the network usage and noticed that the process "alg.exe" was missing, a neccesary internet connection process. So I rebooted and still to no avail could I connect. So I'm wondering did I somehow ruin my internet connection on this account? And if so how can I fix it. By this account I mean my connection remains intact on my other account as well as the hidden backdoor 'administrator' account which is found on XP computers when you use the Safe Mode of windows computers (Handy if you forget your password because it's an administrator account). Also, when I'm on my main account even thought my internet browser is disconnected, I can access Vuze and Limewire which leads me to believe I somehow blocked a neccesary internet port when I blocked the virus from accessing the internet, well when Norton Antivirus: Internet security™ did it automatically. Sorry for the long rant of information but I don't feel like constantly updating with new information like every other time I've used this site. But don't let that hinder you from asking question, all I'm asking is for help!!
