essentials for Windows 7? I installed all of the newest DivX stuff including Plus player and converter and it violently disabled my videos. I attempted download CCCP to maybe overlap said DivX downloads and it semi-allowed me to play videos in Media Player Classic but not without displaying this message twice each time I open a file. "DX9AllocatorPresenter failed D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE". When I try them in WMP 11 it does not recognize the file at all.
What am I doing wrong? I've checked several forums and they recommend all of these Codecs/Encoders/DirectShow/FFShow that need to be manually placed or if they auto-download they don't work. I tried updating the rest of my players, DL'ed newest DivX version, googled DX9Allocator nothing works. I'm not very tech savvy so I just want something that let's me choose "install" and it will fix everything. Please all I want to do is restore my ability to play video files in Windows Media Player on Windows 7. Help!
