I recently dismantled my amp/cap setup, and I must have done something wrong. I have woke up the past few mornings with a battery dead as a doornail. I then found out that I had a .5-.7 volt parasitic drain. After disconnecting my capacitor, the drain went away. I'm pretty sure it was the way that the cap was grounded. I forget how it was originally grounded, but just recently I had the ground from the capacitor going directly to the ground on the amplifier. Do you think this was the problem? Should I just have the ground from the cap going directly to bare metal instead of the ground on the amp?

Also, is a cap really helping? My lights used to dim pretty bad, and they still dimmed a little bit with the cap. It's only a 500 watt amp. I may just scrap the capacitor idea if I find it to work alright without it.
