Recently my car broke down. As it was beginning to slow down i lost the ability to accelerate and as I panicked a little bit and pushed the gas pedal down a clicking noise would start from under my hood. The clicking noise got louder and faster as i pushed the gas pedal down. Wondering if this is a timing belt or broken piston/rod. No white smoke when i opened the hood and i had just put a quart of oil in because i was a little low. Trying to figure out if its a blown engine or not to see if its worth fixing. any advice helps
